How Ironic In the heart of downtown Santa Monica on Lincoln Boulevard sits the most charming custom iron works shop. Christine Vert Interiors is a wonderful resource tucked away in a 1930's converted bungalow. When you enter Christine's store you are immediately greeted by her dog Shasta and offered a comfortable sofa upon which to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
	The custom iron coffee tables, console tables and fireplace screens are all designed and manufactured in Pomona. She has a very organized portfolio to flip through displaying her products categorized by furniture description. Her line also includes upholstered furniture and accessories. She sells to about fifteen retail stores in the Los Angeles area. It is not surprising that a number of clients visit her factory and watch their special orders come alive. My favorite pieces are her custom iron chandeliers and wall sconces. Some of the designs come straight from old European wrought iron books that Christine has collected from around the world. Christine enjoys working with clients' antique silver trays. For example she will custom build an iron stand and transform them into and occasional table.
	She is easy to work with and her prices are at least half of what I have seen at the PDC. Christine does offer a complete interior design service and will give designers trade discount. Currently she is working on several hotel projects including the Hyatt Hotel Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale, Arizona, Marriot Hotel in Cairo, Egypt, Club Paradise in the Bahamas, and The Disneyland Hotel. She has also been fortunate to have worked with celebrities such as Kevin Costner, Nick Nolte, Madonna and Gina Davis.
